Before you buy

What happens right after I pay?

A key is generated and written to your account immediately, and appears on your dashboard. Copy it, then run /licence-claim YOUR-KEY in the Discord server to activate it against your account.

Can I use one key on two computers?

No. A key binds to the first machine that runs it, and only that machine. If you genuinely change hardware, use /hwid reset — you get three of those per key with a seven-day gap between them. Past three, open a ticket and a human will sort it out.

What does "Permanent" actually mean?

It means no expiry date on the key — it lasts for the operational life of that build rather than literally forever. If a build is ever retired you get at least 30 days' notice in the Discord server.

Can I get a refund?

Within 48 hours, as long as the key has not been claimed yet. Once a key is claimed it is bound to you and cannot be resold, so it cannot be refunded. If your province gives you a stronger statutory cancellation right, that right still applies.

Why can I not buy Lite or Pro right now?

Both are temporarily under maintenance. They're listed so you can see what's on offer, but checkout won't accept them until maintenance is finished. Cherry Client is unaffected and can be bought as normal.

Why is there no password field?

Because a storefront that stores your password in the browser is not secure, it only looks secure. You are identified by the account you are already signed in to, which is also what keeps your keys readable by you and nobody else.

What currency am I charged in?

Canadian dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout at your province's rate — 13% HST in Ontario, 5% GST in Alberta, and so on. The exact amount is shown before you confirm.

What actually protects you

A plain description of how this works, with no trust badges and no claims you cannot check. The safest credential is the one that does not exist.

No password exists

You are identified by the account you are already signed in to. No password field, no password database, so nothing to breach, phish or reuse elsewhere.

Keys are private per account

Your keys live in a storage subtree only your account can read. That is enforced by the storage layer, not by hiding things in the interface — another customer cannot request them.

Keys are properly random

Every key comes from the browser's cryptographic random generator, with biased values rejected rather than folded in. The alphabet drops I, O, 0 and 1 so a key read aloud cannot be mistyped.

One machine per key

A key binds to the first machine that runs it. Three self-service resets on a seven-day cooldown cover real hardware changes; past that a human checks, which is what stops sharing.

No card data, ever

No card number is entered here and none is stored. When payments go live they will be handled entirely by the payment provider, with only a reference returned to us.

What this page cannot do

Payments are processed by Stripe. After you pay, your activation code is sent to you by Discord DM, and you claim your key with /licence-claim.

Reporting a vulnerability

Found something? Open a Report A Bug ticket in Discord and mark it security. Please give us 30 days before disclosing publicly. We will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith, stays within their own account, and does not degrade the service for others.

Why is there no password box? A storefront that keeps your password in the browser is not secure, it only looks it. This page reads who you are from your existing session instead — the same mechanism that keeps your licence keys private to you.

By buying, claiming or running a Cherry Client licence you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not claim a key.

1. Your licence

A licence grants one person the right to run the build it names, on one machine at a time, for the length purchased. It licenses use of the software; it does not sell you the software. A permanent licence lasts for the operational life of that build — if a build is retired, at least 30 days' notice is given in the Discord server.

2. Hardware binding

A key binds to the first machine it runs on.
Three self-service resets per key, with a seven-day cooldown, via /hwid reset.
Beyond three, open a ticket. Genuine hardware changes are granted; key sharing is not.

3. Grounds for revocation

Sharing, reselling or publishing a key.
Reverse engineering, cracking or redistributing any build.
Raising a chargeback instead of requesting a refund.
Using the software to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to anyone else's systems.

Revocation under this section is immediate and not refunded.

4. Refunds and your cancellation rights

Refundable within 48 hours of purchase provided the key has not been claimed. Once claimed, a key is bound to you and cannot be resold, so it cannot be refunded. Time-limited licences are not refunded pro rata after claiming.

Where provincial consumer protection legislation gives you a statutory cancellation right that is longer or stronger than the above, that right applies and nothing here removes it.

5. Beta builds

Cherry Client Pro is in closed beta and is not sold. Beta builds may be unstable, may lose data and may change without notice. Nothing here promises a release date.

6. Taxes

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars before tax. GST, HST or PST is added at checkout at the rate for your province of residence, and shown on your receipt.

7. Support

Support runs through the Discord ticket system — Report A Bug, Billing Issue or General Support. There is no phone or postal support channel.

8. Liability

The software is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the licence in question in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

10. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes are announced in the Discord server, and continuing to use your licence afterwards is acceptance. The version and date above always identify the terms in force.

Privacy Policy

Cherry Client stores the minimum needed to issue a licence, bind it to one machine and support you. No advertising, no profiling, nothing sold on. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What is stored

Account identifier — an opaque id for the account you sign in with. Not a password; none exists.
Licence records — the key, the build, its length, when it was issued and claimed, and when it expires.
Hardware identifier — a one-way fingerprint of the machine a key is bound to, used only to enforce one machine per key and count resets.
Support history — ticket transcripts, so the next person helping you has context.

What is never stored

Passwords — none are collected.
Card numbers — handled by the payment provider; only a reference is kept.
Files, documents or anything else on your machine.

Who can see it

Your keys are visible to you, and to staff handling a ticket you opened. Other customers cannot see your keys, hardware id or purchase history, and this page is built so it is not technically able to show them to anyone else.

Where it is held

Data is processed on infrastructure that may be located outside Canada, including the United States. While held abroad it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country. By using the service you consent to that transfer.

How long it is kept

Licence records: while the licence is live, then 24 months for billing and fraud checks.
Hardware identifiers: cleared as soon as a key is reset or expires.
Ticket transcripts: 12 months.

Your rights under PIPEDA

Open a General Support ticket to get a copy of everything held about you, correct it, withdraw consent, or ask for erasure. Erasure ends any live licence, because the licence is the record. Requests are answered within 30 days at no charge.

Not satisfied with how we handled it? You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

Only what the site needs to work: your session and, if you tick it, the "keep me signed in" preference, stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere. No analytics or advertising cookies.
